Pallet Preparation

All freight must be securely attached to a good quality pallet. The minimum handling process during shipment will involve six lifts, including collection from customer premises. It is thus important to use good quality four-way pallets to avoid any problems through the collection, transhipment and delivery process.

Goods should be banded, heat or at least shrink wrapped to the pallet with no items overhanging. All freight should be wrapped to protect it from the weather during the local collection and delivery process. High value goods should be black shrink-wrapped and security tape sealed. Bag items should be protected on all sides including underneath the pallet with cardboard or a similar.

We do not carry hazardous goods. Our maximum standard pallet weight is 1,200Kg, unless a Tail Lift is required in which case it is 1,000Kg.
